Hello. My name is Kim Dyer. I was born in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria and grew up in the beautiful village of Gleaston, attending Ulverston Victoria High School and Sixth Form. I moved to Norwich, Norfolk in 2005 when I accepted a place at the University of East Anglia and studied there for four years, eventually receiving an MA in Philosophy and English Literature. My specialist field was aesthetics and I take special pride in my post-graduate dissertation which on the subject of whether or not film is intrinsically philosophical.
I have a great passion for writing. When I am not working on my novel – a fantasy story for young adults called Tameizar – I am working on short stories and blog posts for a number of different sites. When I am not writing, I enjoy spending my free time drawing, exploring historical sites and playing video games. I still live in Norwich today with my partner, two African Land Snails named Gideon and Magnus and two cats: Schrödinger and Dr Victor Frankenstein.
