About Me

Hello. My name is Kim Dyer. I was born in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria and grew up in the beautiful village of Gleaston, attending Ulverston Victoria High School and Sixth Form. I moved to Norwich, Norfolk in 2005 when I accepted a place at the University of East Anglia and studied there for four years, eventually receiving an MA in Philosophy and English Literature. My specialist field was aesthetics and I take special pride in my post-graduate dissertation which on the subject of whether or not film is intrinsically philosophical.

I have a great passion for writing. When I am not working on my novel – a fantasy story for young adults called Tameizar – I am working on short stories and blog posts for a number of different sites. When I am not writing, I enjoy spending my free time drawing, exploring historical sites and playing video games. I still live in Norwich today with my partner, two African Land Snails named Gideon and Magnus and two cats: Schrödinger and Dr Victor Frankenstein.

I just publsihed a very rare and unique different take on a Christian book. I have an upcoming Kindle Edition promotion soon once my publishers have finished making that version, and thought I’d send you the appropriate PDF and .mobi interior proof files for your reviewing convenience. Email me for the files and I’ll send them ASAP. Enjoy 🙂 …they’re unlike anything you’ve ever read 🙂 -Chris

Hi Chris. Is your book aimed at young adult readers because that is all that I review on this blog. If so (and if it is currently for sale or available for preorder online), I would be happy to review it for you. My contact detail are on the ‘About this Blog’ page if you would like to contact me and discuss further.

It’s aimed at anyone past the general “idiot stage” of life lol. Young adults+, so yes 🙂 and yes, it’s already up for sale on Amazon, with a Kindle edition coming soon.

Excellent. In that case feel free to contact me by email on kimdyer58@gmail.com if you would like to send a mobi copy. It may be a couple of months before I can get to it as I am still clearing my backlog but I will happily add your novel to the list.

Hi. Good luck with your fantasy novel. How is it progressing?

It is currently about half way through a re-edit, following a failed first attempt at finding an agent. Hoping for better luck in round 2 🙂

Oh, all the best. It’s a long road. I’m finding that out myself at the moment. Waiting to hear back from publishers (sent it off unagented) so may have to try an agent next or get it professionally edited. So many decisions….

It’s basically just a blog tag where you answer 10 questions, create 10 questions, and then nominate 10 other people to answer your 10 questions. I hope that’s not confusing, haha. 🙂
